In May, earlier this year, Google launched its first African philanthropic engagement on the continent – a $20 million impact challenge over 5 years aimed at improving livelihoods in African communities. Twelve finalists (nonprofit organizations) have been selected and need your votes to make it to the final 4 who will be eligible to receive funding, mentoring, and access to Google’s global network. Voting ends on November 25, 2018 so let’s get voting!
How it works:
The challenge asks local innovators how they would make their community–and beyond–an even better place. The public and a panel of local judges vote for the ideas with the most potential, and Google.org pairs each winner with a package of strategic support, funding and Google volunteers.
