DRL FY21 Increasing the Agency of Women with Disabilities in West Africa

The Department of Human Rights and Labour – DRL’s goal for this project is to increase the participation of women with disabilities in positions of leadership in West Africa in order to effectively advocate for equal treatment under the law and support efforts to discourage discriminatory practices. Proposal submissions must demonstrate inclusion of local women with disabilities and Disabled Persons Organizations (DPOs) in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the program.

Eligible projects

DRL welcomes applications from U.S.-based and foreign-based non-profit organizations/nongovernment organizations (NGO) and public international organizations; private, public, or state institutions of higher education; and for profit organizations or businesses. DRL’s preference is to work with non-profit entities; however, there may be some occasions when a for-profit entity is best suited.
