About the Fellowship
The African Philanthropy Media Fellowship is a 6-week virtual programme designed to equip emerging journalists, content creators, and media practitioners across Africa with the knowledge, skills, and networks to report accurately and compellingly on African-led philanthropy and development. The programme strengthens understanding of Africa's philanthropy ecosystem while building practical storytelling, data-driven reporting, and ethical journalism skills.

Eligibility Criteria
- Early-career journalists, content creators, and media practitioners
- Freelancers or staff of media platforms
- Applicants based in Africa with interest in philanthropy, development, and social impact reporting
- 1–3 years of media or content creation experience encouraged
Fellow Expectations
- Participate in all trainings and mentorship sessions
- Pitch and produce at least one publishable story
- Be open to editorial feedback and revisions
- Contribute to shifting narratives on African philanthropy
- Access to a computer and stable internet
